Graphite electrodes, as an important industrial material, have a wide range of applications. The main application areas of graphite electrodes are as follows:
.Metallurgical field: Electric arc furnaces for steel production are the major users of graphite electrodes. In electric arc furnaces, current is introduced into the furnace through graphite electrodes, and the high-temperature heat source generated by the electric arc between the electrode tip and the furnace materials is utilized for smelting.
.Chemical industry: The electric arc furnace is mainly used for the production of industrial silicon and yellow phosphorus, etc. Its characteristic is that the lower part of the conductive electrode is buried in the furnace material, forming an electric arc within the material layer, and using the heat energy emitted by the material's own resistance to heat the material. Among them, the electric arc furnaces with higher current density require graphite electrodes.
.New energy sector: In lithium-ion batteries, artificial graphite is the main negative electrode material. With the widespread adoption of new energy vehicles, the demand for high-performance batteries is increasing day by day, which directly drives the demand for graphite electrodes.
.Semiconductor manufacturing: Graphite electrodes play a crucial role in the electron beam welding and sintering processes during semiconductor manufacturing, and are used to produce high-precision electronic components.
.High-temperature heat treatment: Graphite electrodes can be used to manufacture high-temperature heat treatment furnaces, which are employed for the heat treatment of metal materials.
.Electrical discharge machining: Graphite electrodes are gradually replacing traditional copper electrodes and have become the mainstream choice in related industries.
